ABOUT THE MEMBERS
Don began playing semi-professionally around Montreal at the age of 15 and then eventually attended York University in Toronto. There he studied Music Composition, and had the chance to meet such luminaries of contemporary music such as John Cage and Steve Reich. Beginning his professional career by winning the US Fingerstyle Guitar Championship, he signed with Duke Street Records in 1988 releasing three CDs with them. He has also recorded for Sony Music and Narada Records. He inspired the creation of Candyrat Records based in Wisconsin who have released 7 of Don’s recordings making him one of the most prolific finger style guitarists in the world. Don tirelessly tours solo around the globe, and plays collaboratively with Calum Graham, Jimmy Wahlsteen, Brooke Miller and many other musicians. He resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Jimmy Wahlsteen is a recording and international touring solo acoustic guitar player based in Stockholm/Sweden. HIs recordings contain multi-track instrumental songs with expressive guitar arrangements and brilliant guest musicians. At the core of his songs is the acoustic guitar mixed and enhanced with percussion, strings, lots of additional guitars and atmospheric musical landscapes.
The Alberta-based guitarist and singer/songwriter Calum Graham has released five acclaimed albums, won major national music competitions, performed at the Olympic Games in both Vancouver and London, racked up some phenomenal views on YouTube, and was most recently named one of the top 30 guitarists in the world under 30 by Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Andy McKee, one of today’s most popular acoustic guitarists, calls Calum “the most promising young guitarist I’ve seen. His command of the guitar is already really impressive!”
